v0.7.3 - Bug fixes, security patches

This version of Clean Days fixes a bug introduced in the last release (oops!). It also includes a few miscellaneous changes to improve the security of the app. Bug fix The bug caused a friend’s user page to sometimes load with “You will need to be friends to see their clean time. You are friends!” instead of showing their clean date. This would go away after the page was refreshed. ...

v0.7.0 - In-App Notifications

This version adds a notification page to the app, reduces the number of steps in the signup process, adds features for email-based logins, and fixes a few bugs. Features Notifications: All push notifications also show up in a new notifications page in the app. The notifications show up as unread, with an orange dot on the bell icon, until you open the page. They disappear after 120 days. Signup Improvements: All optional steps in the signup process show up at the top of the notifications page as permanent notifications. These steps include setting your profile visibility, verifying your email if it is unverified, and (on Android) enabling notifications. Email Verification: All new email-based accounts will receive a verification email on signup. This does not apply to Google or Apple accounts, since those providers already verify your email address. Later versions of Clean Days will enforce email verification by preventing unverified accounts from using the social features in the app. This enforcement makes it more difficult for bots to use the app. Password Change / Reset: If you signed up with an email and password and you forgot your password, you can now request a password reset email. If you want to change your password, you can now do so in the settings. Bug Fixes The user page previously showed “Send Friend Request” for a user briefly after accepting a friend request from them. This would show up for a longer period of time on slower internet connections. Accepting a friend request now correctly loads the friend’s information on the page. The user page previously did not load a person’s friends onto the page after accepting a friend request from them. This has been fixed. The user page no longer includes “Send Friend Request” and “Block / Report” buttons for users whose profiles are inaccessible or deleted. Housekeeping The Android version of the app now targets SDK version 36, to comply with the Play Store’s updated requirements. This should have no impact on users.

v0.6.0 - Account Deletion

This version adds a button to the settings page that allows you to delete your account. Obviously, Clean Days would be better with you in its userbase, but the app now allows for full account deletion to support people’s freedom of choice and desire for anonymity (and regulatory compliance). Account deletion is also supported on the web app, and has been since before v0.1.0. You can delete your account by going to app.cleandays.io/settings/delete.

When a user is reported, this notifies the developer who will read the report and determine how to address it based on the Code of Conduct Blocking - The user page also includes a block button that will prevent that user from interacting with you and make your profile invisible to the blocked user Version Check - The app will now check to see whether an update is necessary and prompt the user to update the app if that’s the case. Bug Fixes The total day count was previously incorrect in some cases due to a rounding error in the calculation process; it is now correct On a friend’s birthday, the Friends page in the app would show that their birthday is “in a few seconds” instead of “today”; this was fixed
