This version adds a notification page to the app, reduces the number of steps in the signup process, adds features for email-based logins, and fixes a few bugs.
Features
- Notifications: All push notifications also show up in a new notifications page in the app. The notifications show up as unread, with an orange dot on the bell icon, until you open the page. They disappear after 120 days.
- Signup Improvements: All optional steps in the signup process show up at the top of the notifications page as permanent notifications. These steps include setting your profile visibility, verifying your email if it is unverified, and (on Android) enabling notifications.
- Email Verification: All new email-based accounts will receive a verification email on signup. This does not apply to Google or Apple accounts, since those providers already verify your email address. Later versions of Clean Days will enforce email verification by preventing unverified accounts from using the social features in the app. This enforcement makes it more difficult for bots to use the app.
- Password Change / Reset: If you signed up with an email and password and you forgot your password, you can now request a password reset email. If you want to change your password, you can now do so in the settings.
Bug Fixes
- The user page previously showed “Send Friend Request” for a user briefly after accepting a friend request from them. This would show up for a longer period of time on slower internet connections. Accepting a friend request now correctly loads the friend’s information on the page.
- The user page previously did not load a person’s friends onto the page after accepting a friend request from them. This has been fixed.
- The user page no longer includes “Send Friend Request” and “Block / Report” buttons for users whose profiles are inaccessible or deleted.
Housekeeping
- The Android version of the app now targets SDK version 36, to comply with the Play Store’s updated requirements. This should have no impact on users.
